A pair of lovely florals (oil on board) by listed artist, Kitty Brandfield (1910-1999).
The paintings each measure 26 1/2" x 16 1/2" including the matching decorative frames in which they are housed.
Brandfield was born in London and moved to the United States as a young girl. She studied at the National Arts Academy, the Art Students Leagu,e and also in London, Paris and Mexico.
Her artworks were featured at the Linsley Gallery in Palm Beach in 1968. Mrs. Brandfield is known for her paintings in oil and watercolors of the oceans and beaches of Fire Island and the Hampton's form the 50's to the present day, along with her vivid floral paintings on canvas and board.
Kitty was the daughter of WPA painter, Samuel Mirsky and lived in Southampton, Long Island.
